A warm welcome to Little Parrotts Childcare, we love spending time with you and your children to help them to learn, laugh and fly! We invite you to come and visit us to see for yourself the amazing, personal, childcare we offer.

Little Parrotts has always been a personable, child centred childcare provision, providing home from home childcare to allow parents/carers to leave their children, safe in the knowledge that they will receive the same level of care and devotion that they would give.

We provide exceptional early childhood education and foster a nurturing environment where children can thrive. We strive to inspire a love for learning, ignite curiosity, and empower children with the skills and confidence they need for a successful future.

Our mission is to provide a caring, happy and safe environment for all children to enjoy developmentally appropriate play experiences, tailored to their interests.

Note from Christine:

“As a mum of 3 children myself, I recognise the importance of a safe and nurturing environment for our little ones. Early Childhood is the beginning of our life story, it is crucial that we successfully work in partnership to shape a child’s holistic development and a build secure foundations for their futures.”

Little Parrotts Childcare was established in 2020 by Christine Parrott.

Our Environments

An enabling environment provides children with the space and resources to play, explore and learn.

Every child at Little Parrotts Childcare, from birth to the age of 5, are grouped together by age and developmental stage throughout their time with us.

These groups are organised into three rooms:

Our Rooms

In each of our rooms we have purposely designed and created a comforting, calm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. These calming, natural spaces support every child’s growing need for independence and play a vital part in children’s wellbeing.

The rooms are rich in opportunities to explore and develop through play, accented with well thought out resources that are carefully placed to support and ignite children’s natural curiosity and desire to learn.

Each of our rooms is led by a fully qualified Room Leader who works closely with a small team of qualified practitioners within key person roles.

At Little Parrotts, we deliver the highest standards of Care & Education for all children who attend our setting. Our practice is delivered in accordance with a statutory framework called the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which was established by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. The EYFS sets the standards for Learning, Development and Care for children aged birth to five.

What You Say About Us

The team are always super approachable and kind

Our little boy has been at Little Parrotts since he was 9 months old. In that time the setting has expanded into a wonderful nursery and many new faces have joined the team. I have always felt that everyone at Little Parrotts really care about the children who go there, they take a personal interest and are nothing but supportive and lovely whenever we see them. I have no worries about the nursery and Arlo’s time there, he goes in with a smile on his face every day and always comes out beaming and excited to tell us all about his day. He has learnt so much during his time with Christine and the team and is really thriving! The team are always super approachable and kind and I couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for a setting for their children. Even when we moved out of the local area, we decided to keep him at LP as he we so settled. We will be sad when the day comes that he moves on and I know he will miss his lovely friends and team there!

It really is a home away from home

Going back to work after maternity leave was daunting especially as we have no close family near by. The whole team made us feel a lot more relaxed and really went the extra mile with helping us when needed. It really is a home away from home and Alice has really developed ever since joining, we’re so so greatful for everything the team has done.

The staff are all so kind and caring

We are so grateful to Christine and all the lovely team at Little Parrotts! Lucas absolutely loves coming here and he never gets upset being left which is a good indicator of how much he loves it! The staff are all so kind and caring. I feel Lucas has so much to do here and tries lots of new activities. I love that he goes out in the local area and plays at the park with a picnic with friends. They always cater for his needs and always give us regular updates on his day. I feel very fortunate that Lucas is able to come to nursery here. Thank you 😊

All the staff at Little Parrotts are amazing

All the staff at ‘Little Parrotts’ are amazing, especially Reubens key worker (and best friend!), Ellie. Reuben has been with Little Parrotts since he was 9 months old and he has developed so much. He is always smiling and happy when we pick him up and he can’t get in there quickly enough in the morning! They update regularly with pictures and videos of all the fun they have, whether that’s inside the nursery or their trips out. Reuben enjoys a vast range of activities enabling his skills to develop which we enjoy seeing updates of on the app the nursery uses to communicate with us through, including pictures of arts and crafts, baking and singing with his friends. He regularly brings home his latest masterpiece which is lovely. Christine and her team are always so friendly and helpful. It’s clear that they work hard to ensure that both the children and the parents are reassured, happy and that their needs are met consistently. We highly recommend Little Parrotts!
